CHENNAI: Anna University here is developing a 40-kg microsatellite named Anusat for educational purposes which is expected to be launched by September.
"It is in final stages and expected to be launched by September," varsity Vice Chancellor D Viswanathan said on Friday.
He said the final testing will be done within two months.
Anusat is an interdisciplinary project involving various departments of the University.
Anusat carries a digital 'store and forward' payload for communications, he said.
Anna University is the first varsity in India to design a complete microsatellite.
