School boy commits suicide

SRINAGAR: A 12-year-old boy committed suicide by hanging at his house in Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, police said.

Humayun Mushtaq, a Class Six student, hanged himself after returning from school at his house in Sofipora-Asham, they said.

The inquest was on, they added.

Meanwhile, in a different incident, one Mudasir Ahmad Dara, resident of Kaw Charwani, was feared killed after he was washed away by strong water current of a canal at Kangan in the district on Friday morning, police said.

Efforts were on to extract his body, they said.
