JAIPUR: Rajasthan Police released on Wednesday night a 3-dimensional (3-D) sketch of a 24-26-year-old clean-shaven fair complexioned man who is a key suspect behind the May 13 serial blasts that killed 65 people here.

The sketch modulated on a computer by a Kolkata-based professional is of a 5-and-half-foot-tall man, SP (north) Raghvendra Suhasee said.

"The 3-D is a new sketch of an important suspect who might be involved in the blasts," the SP said, adding that it would not be proper to divulge how the sketch was made.
"This is the first 3-D sketch and eighth in a row as the seven hand-made sketches released last week were based on the questioning of owners of shops from where bicycles were bought to plant bombs in the walled part of the city on May 13.

Parliamentary affairs minister RS Rathore said the investigation was going in the right direction, though so far no one had been arrested.

Asked whether the state government intended to hand over the case to the CBI, he said the CBI had not solved similar cases in Hyderabad and Uttar Pradesh.

A special investigation team comprising IB and police of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh has so far interrogated at least 500, including some jail inmates, but not arrested any one, Rathore said.

A key Simi member Sajjid and his three associates were detained in Sawaimadhopur district for interrogation by the special operation group of the state police.
