LONDON: Britain's Scotland Yard is probing a complaint against Prince Harry, who has been accused of driving recklessly while going to a nightclub and putting at risk the life of a family, including an eight-month-old infant.

Company director Tim Williams has lodged an official complaint that the 23-year-old Prince and his bodyguards took part in a reckless 100 mph car chase on their way to Boujis nightclub, putting his family's lives at danger.

The harassed man alleged that he was tailgated by Royal protection officers, who forced him to accelerate to dangerous speeds last Saturday near Slough, Berkshire, while he was driving with his wife, sister-in-law and the baby, the Daily Mail of Britain said.

Twenty minutes later, as traffic slowed at lights in West London, Williams was shocked to see the young prince in the stationary Audi R8. Harry tried to hide his identity by putting on sunglasses, the report said. Harry was seen partying at Boujis nightclub later in Kensington until 3.30am.

Clarence House, the official residence of the Prince of Wales where Harry also lives, refused to discuss the matter saying: "It's a police matter, and we will leave it to them."

The harassed company director said they "intimidated me and my family." "It was really dangerous and I'm furious that they think they can drive like this just because of who they are," Williams was quoted as saying by the daily.

"My wife took down both their number plates. We felt we had to report them," he said, adding "How dare they put the lives of motorists at risk."

The Thames Valley Police confirmed they had received a complaint from Williams which they had passed to Scotland Yard as Metropolitan Police royal protection officers were driving the Range Rover, the report said.
