The abductors gunned down Sahu but let off the other two, he said adding a note recovered from the spot branded the 36-year-old leader as a 'police informer'.

Condemning the killing, BJP leader Shagnu Bhagat along with party activists put up road blockades on Pawarganj main road disrupting traffic for two hours.

The blockade was lifted after the district administration gave Rs 10,000 ex-gratia to the family of the slain leader and assured it would recommend to the government for a job to one of the eligible family members, Prasad said.
