Two labourers fall to death from RCF tower

ALIBAUG: Two labourers were killed at the Rashtriya Chemical and Fertilisers (RCF) plant

near here this afternoon after they fell while painting one of the towers, police said.

The mishap occured at the RCF's Thal unit here in Raigad district this afternoon.

The deceased, Shankar Thakur and Manoj Thakur (both aged 28), were residents of Bidar district in Karnataka.

They were atop one of the towers for painting purpose when they slipped and fell. They were rushed to the near by RCF Hospital but their lives could not be saved, they said.

Police have registered a case of accidental death.
