MUMBAI: Over 100 Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) activists including women blackened the face of a doctor at Bhayander who had allegedly molested a minor girl named Leena Patil (name changed) who was working at his clinic as a compounder.
On Monday, around 11 am, the activists, along with the victim, barged inside Dr Kishor Tulsani’s dispensary at the Narayan Nagar in Bhayander and started assaulting him. Activists from the women’s wing of MNS blackened his face and dragged him to Bhayander police station.
According to Patil, Tulsiani had been making sexual advances towards her since she started working for him since the past week. He constantly spoke to her about her appearance, figure and passed lewd comments when she was alone in the dispensary with him, Patil told DNA.
On Saturday, Tulsiani called Patil inside his cabin, locked the door from inside, and began groping her. Patil said she stomped out of the cabin and then did not report to work after that. She told about the alleged incident to her parents who then approached local MNS leader Shyam Raul to complain about Tulsiani.
“Since the day I started working with him he had been making sexual advances, I ignored his comments as I needed the job but he crossed his limits on Saturday and touched me in his cabin so I complained about it to my parents” said Patil.
“Patil’s parents approached me with their complaint against Tulsiani. According to some other people too, Tulsiani has been misbehaving with other female compounders who worked for him earlier and quit the job because of his behaviour. We went there and blackened his face so that he is taught a lesson and then dragged him to the police station so that he can be punished” said MNS leader Shyam Raul.
Tulsiani has been arrested and booked under section 354 of IPC .
