NEW DELHI: Bahujan Samaj Party supreme Mayawati on Sunday said her party would not forge any alliance with the Congress or the BJP and maintained BSP's victory in Uttar Pradesh was a glimpse of what was to unfold at the national level.

"We don't fight elections with any party. We bring all communities together and fight elections on the basis of this brotherhood. If you want to call that an alliance it is good.

"Be it with the Congress or the BJP, we will not forge any alliance," she told when asked whether she would have Congress as an electoral ally.

Observing that she had "left it to the people" to decide whether she would become the Chief Minister after winning the UP assembly poll, Mayawati said "in the same way, my move to Delhi will depend on the preparedness of party workers at the national level. I will fulfil their aspirations."

Maintaining she would do whatever her party workers wanted her to do, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said the BSP workers "are already saying ... in fact, people say that UP is just a glimpse of what is going to unfold at the national level."
