KOLKATA: West Bengal chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya is poised to receive flak from yet another front. His very own party’s co-ordination committee of West Bengal government employees associations and unions is set to pass resolutions at its forthcoming state conference against various reforms proposed by Bhattacharjee  since he became chief minister.

To add power to salvoes against the chief minister, the CPI(M) controlled co-ordination committee has sought the backing of anti-Buddha forces from the party politburo and has invited MK Pandhe, CITU national president, and politburo member, a known hardliner against the chief minister, to address the conference that gets under way on December 27, at Siliguri in North Bengal.

The co-ordination committee that has a vice-like grip over employees at Writers’ Building, and government departments across the state, will pass resolutions on 35 issues including the state government’s backing to big private capital to engage in trade and retail agro products, though Reliance Retail will not be named.
