MUMBAI: Pravas Adhikar Andolan Samiti, a train commuters’ organisation, has urged the over 30 lakh commuters, travelling between Mira Road and Virar suburbs, to boycott the local trains on December 10 — the World Human Rights Day.

The boycott call has been given to protest against the alleged hostile attitude of the Western Railways authorities towards the commuters in this particular section.

Stating that the passenger density in trains on this section was more than 15 per square feet in each compartment, Samiti convener Shailendra Kamble said this amounted to violation of human rights, and, so, the boycott call has been given on World Human Rights Day.
