MUMBAI: The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex rose by 124 points in early trade on Wednesday following heavy buying by funds in reality and banking shares.
The 30-share index which shed 73 points on Tuesday, bounced back gaining 124.15 points to 19,653.65 in the first five minutes of trade.
The wide-based National Stock Exchange index, Nifty, also rose by 35.90 points to 5,894.25 points.
