Dutt's family jubilant on his homecoming

MUMBAI: Congress MP and Sanjay Dutt's sister, Priya Dutt said on Tuesday the entire family is very happy about Supreme Court granting bail to the actor in the 1993 serial blasts case and are looking forward to his homecoming.
    
Priya said some close friends will be going to receive Sanjay who is lodged in Pune's Yerwada Jail since October 22 this year.
    
"There are no particular celebrations or anything planned for his arrival. We are just happy that he will be coming back home," she said here.
    
Priya, who represents the Mumbai North West constituency, also thanked all those who supported the family since the trial.
    
Sanjay was convicted under the Arms Act and sentenced to six-year jail term by the special TADA court on July 30 this year. He was taken into custody immediately after being sentenced and taken to Yerwada thereafter.
    
The actor received interim bail from the Supreme Court on August 20 till the TADA court gave him a copy of the judgement.
    
He surrendered in compliance with the apex court directives on October 22.
