HYDERABAD: Senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu on Monday accused the UPA Government at the Centre of not having a clear policy to fight terrorism in the country.

"The Central Government was unmoved by the killing of innocent people in the terrorist violence across the country. It lacks clear policy to fight the menace of terrorism," Naidu said while talking to newspersons here.

The Congress-led ruling coalition, instead of having a stringent law to deal with growing terrorism, was merely expressing its condolences for the dead and announcing compensation for the survivors, the former BJP president said.

When the government was suspecting foreign hand behind the several bomb blasts in the country, there was a need to have a stringent law to fight this menace, he noted.

"It was a known fact that our enemy across the border has been funding and abetting terrorism, but our government has no action plan to fight it," he added.

The BJP leader's statements come a day after six persons were killed in a blast in a cinema hall in Punjab's industrial town of Ludhiana.
