A builder's golden tribute to Lord Ganesh

MUMBAI: City-based builder Sachin Pandurang Mane has donated a gold waist weighing 2.21 kilogram, worth Rs 21 lakh, to the `Lalbaughcha Raja', the most famous Ganpati in the city.
    
The idea to donate the gold came to his mind with his newly born daughter who is just 21 days old, Mane said.
    
Mane owes his growth and success in life to Lord Ganesh. Every year he and his family members do voluntary services at the crowded gully in Central Mumbai, where thousands of devotees wait in queue for hours to have 'darshan' of Lalbaughcha Raja.
    
Mane, alongwith his brother, owns a construction company named after the Lord -  Vignaharta Builders and Project Pvt Ltd and has a number of Slum Rehabilitation Projects in his hands.
    
Every year the Mane family devote its entire 10 days during Ganeshotsav in the service of the Ganesh pandal and does not undertake any business activity.
