Shares of Mukesh and Anil Ambani group companies on Monday surged to their all-time high resulting a combined market capitalisation of over Rs six trillion.
MUMBAI: Shares of Mukesh and Anil Ambani group companies on Monday surged to their all-time high resulting a combined market capitalisation of over Rs six trillion and propelled the benchmark index Sensex nearer to 17,000 mark.
The combined market capitalisation of Mukesh Ambani group soared past the Rs four trillion mark today while that of Anil Ambani group touched the Rs two trillion level today.
The shares of Mukesh Ambani's flagship company Reliance Industries as well as three other group firms - Reliance Petroleum, IPCL and Reliance Industrial Infrastructure today soared by their all-time high levels with gains ranging from 3-10 per cent.
Total investor wealth in the four companies surged to a total of Rs 4,19,447.16 crore, led by RIL's market value of Rs Rs 3,28,408 crore after the scrip touched its all-time high of Rs 2,375 today on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
While Reliance Petroleum surged 8 per cent to close at Rs 167.4 after peaking at Rs 172 on the BSE and Reliance Industrial Infrastructure Ltd also closed at its all-time high of Rs 1,147.4.
Anil Ambani groups' combined market capitalisation soared to Rs 2,01,965 crore and shares of all group firms also crossed their all-time highs with Reliance Natural Resources jumping as much as 22 per cent to end at Rs 93.55.
Reliance Capital peaked at Rs 1,594.55 and ended with a market capitalisation of Rs 38,663.39 crore, while Reliance Energy closed up 8 per cent at Rs 1093.70 and its market cap stood at Rs 24,994.3 crore.
While ADAG's flagship firm Reliance Communication's market cap rose to Rs 1,22,319.39 crore with its scrip closing at Rs 598.25, up 3.62 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Market valuation of RNRL and Adlabs Films stood at Rs 13781.14 crore and Rs 2,206.95 crore respectively.
