NEW DELHI: A two-week long absence from the court cost Sania Mirza one place each in singles and doubles WTA rankings, which were released on Monday.
    
Sania, who missed the Sunfeast Open due to a wrist injury, now stands at 28th in singles and 19th in doubles.
    
Sunitha Rao, however, returned to top-200 as she jumped to 196 from 211 courtesy her second round appearance in the Sunfeast Open.
    
In the men's section, both Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi clung to their positions at 16th and 21st respectively, while Rohan Bopanna dropped one place to be 85th in doubles ranking.
    
Bopanna gained one position in singles to take the 244th slot.
