LONDON: Formula One racing team McLaren's two leading members, Ron Dennis and Fernando Alonso, have not been on talking terms for several weeks, the transcripts of last week's extraordinary meeting of the World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) revealed.

The sport's governing body FIA on Wednesday published the transcript of the hearing held in Paris on its website.

McLaren was fined $100 million and docked all points in the constructors' standings after having been found guilty of illegally obtaining secret Ferrari documents.

Dennis told the hearing that he and Alonso did not speak to each other.

    "But that does not matter."

He described his relationship with Alonso as 'extremely cool. And that is an understatement."'

Dennis said that even though the team had asked the 2006 F1 champion to be at the meeting, he had decided not to come.

"Mr Alonso is not here because he did not want to be here," he said.

Alonso's team-mates Lewis Hamilton and test driver Pedro de la Rosa were in Paris after all three had been asked by FIA president Max Mosely to share their information about the scandal.

Alonso did so in a written statement.

"I can't force him to be here. We asked him to come," Dennis said.

Dennis seemed to insinuate that the relationship could no longer be mended, saying about Alonso: "He does not talk a lot to anybody. He is a remarkable loner for a racing driver."

The McLaren team head said the last time Alonso had spoken to him was during the Hungarian Grand Prix, where Alonso had deliberately blocked Hamilton from going out for a final lap during the qualifying.

During a discussion with Alonso on race day, the world champion had told him that he had e-mails about the affair. Dennis then informed Mosely, which ultimately led to the hearing last Thursday in Paris.
