"Party workers should be prepared for an early poll to the Lok Sabha," Advani said, addressing a public meeting here late Wednesday night.
He recalled that there were radical political changes after the Allahabad High Court set aside the election of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi from Rae Bareli in 1971.
"Similarly, Left parties' opposition to the Indo-US nuclear deal and Tamil Nadu's ruling party's attempt to destroy Ram Sethu would bring a radical change in the Indian politics," he said, claiming that the Lok Sabha polls could take place in 2008.
The former Deputy Prime Minister said the BJP-led NDA government was "fully prepared" to take on the pressure and sanctions from the US when India conducted the nuclear tests in 1998.
He said unfortunately, the present UPA government has given an undertaking in writing that India would not conduct nuclear tests in future for getting fuel and equipment for reactors.
"The BJP is opposing the clause because it will affect the country's (defence) preparedness badly," he said.
Lashing out at the Centre for questioning the existence of Lord Ram in an affidavit before the Supreme Court, Advani said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi should apologise for hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus.
Ravishankar Prasad, BJP leader in-charge of Tamil Nadu, said that reservation for Muslims and Christians in the state would "divide the country".
The party would lead a stir against the move as it would take away a sizeable share of the reservation given to backward communities and Dalit Hindus, he said.
