LUCKNOW: The designated court hearing the Taj Heritage Corridor case on Thursday fixed October eight for further hearing of the matter.
Special Judge (anti-corruption) Rekha Dixit deferred the hearing of the matter after the counsel for one of the accused, R K Sharma, former secretary, environment, moved an application seeking an adjournment.
Sharma has filed an intervention application in the matter.
Uttar Pradesh Governor T V Rajeswar had earlier refused to accord sanction for prosecution of state chief minister Mayawati and her cabinet colleague Naseemuddin Siddique in the case.
Besides Sharma, the other accused in the Rs 175 crore scam are Rajendra Prasad, an under secretary and a former IAS officer V K Gupta.
