HYDERABAD: Ten persons have been arrested in connection with the bomb blasts that shook the city recently and for smuggling RDX from Bangladesh, police said on Thursday.

The arrests, made last evening, came close on the heels of revelations made by two key suspects -- Syed Imran Khan and Kaleem alias Rafiq -- during narco-analysis tests conducted in Bangalore.

"They have been taken into custody in connection with several previous cases," City Police Commissioner Balwinder Singh said on Thursday.

He, however, declined to divulge further details. It is believed that the arrested persons were in possession of "jihadi literature and CDs and other incriminating documents."

They were produced before a local court which remanded them to a two-week judicial custody.

The Commissioner said police teams had been sent to various places, including Karnataka, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu in connection with the probe into the blasts.
