MUMBAI: An aspiring model on Wednesday filed an application with the police complaining that she has been cheated of Rs 21,000 by an unidentified person who made online transactions using her credit card details.

"Ankeeta Mukherjee has given us the application saying some person has fraudulently used her credit card details in purchasing some online tickets," a senior official from Oshiwara police station in north-west Mumbai said.

Mukherjee, who has been featured in some advertisements and a music video, claims she does not use her credit card so often and is not an 'internet savvy' person.

"I had last used the card in May 2007 to make some travel purchases at an Andheri-based agency. All the online transactions have been made after that it June and July and I suspect that the details were stolen at the agency," she said.
