SCOTLAND: Jeev Milkha Singh aims to return to top-50 of world ranking when he tees off at the Johnnie Walker Championship at the Gleneagles, on Thursday.

"My goal is to get back to good rhythm and into top-50," said Jeev, who after a fortnight long break goes out on first two days with last week's winner Ross Fisher and Ariel Canete.

Jeev, ranked 68th in the world, down from 37th at the start of the year, took some time off after playing nine weeks in a row ending with the PGA Championships.

"They were all big events," said Jeev on his decision to play so many events on the trot, including three Majors from US Open to British Open and PGA Championships.

Also teeing up is Shiv Kapur, who must have been disappointed with his tied 37th finish at the KLM Open last week.

He was poised for a good top-20 finish, when he dropped on last day. He plays with Ignaico Garrido and Bland.

Meanwhile, Paul Casey will be looking to continue his love affair with the venue as he returns to defend the Johnnie Walker Championship.

Casey's maiden professional victory was achieved over the PGA Centenary Course in 2001 and last year he repeated the feat when he held off the challenges of Dane Soren Hansen and fellow Englishman Andrew Marshall to win by a stroke.
