NEW DELHI: The prosecution in Shivani Bhatnagar murder case on Thursday told a court here the main accused R K Sharma had links with the other accused persons.

Arguing before Additional Sessions Judge Rajender Kumar Shastri, special public prosecutor S K Saxena read out verbatim a number of testimonies by the witnesses as recorded by the court earlier and said that Sharma's refusal of knowing the co-accused was falsified by them.

Saxena told the court that four co-accused -- Satya Prakash, Ved Prakash Sharma, Sri Bhagwan and Ved alias Kalu --were jointly engaged in the business of property dealing and had their office at Saraswati Enclave here.

Sri Bhagwan's father Onkar Sharma had also given an interview to a private TV channel in August, 2002, in which he accepted to having family terms with suspended IPS officer Sharma, he said.

Claiming that the veracity of the transcript of the interview was never challenged by the defence during examination of the reporter who had recorded it, Saxena said that the link between them was "crystal clear".

He said that Sri Bhagwan's denial to having known Sharma during his testimony did not hold water in view of the interview of his father, he added.

"Sri Bhagwan's answer during his cross-examination earlier that he did not know if he had any family relation with Ved Prakash was further a cogent evidence against him for
misleading the court," Saxena stated.

He also pointed to the deposition by a businessman, who had allegedly met Sri Bhagwan and Ved Prakash for a property dealing.
