Girl set ablaze by lover in Jalgaon

JALGAON: A pregnant teenaged girl was allegdly set afire by her lover and three of his accomplices, police said on Sunday.

The eighteen-year-old girl was set ablaze by the youth on August 10, after she started pressurising him to marry her, they said, adding the accused poured kerosene on her with the help of three others.

The victim, who sustained 75 per cent burns, was admitted to Jalgaon civil hospital where she succumbed to injuries last night, police said.

A case of murder has been registered against the youth and his accomplices, they added.
