MP govt awards Kishore Kumar Samman on Shatrughan

INDORE: Noted actor and former Union minister Shatrughan Sinha will be conferred with National Kishore Kumar Samman on August 4 at a function at Khandwa, the
birthplace of the legendary playback singer.
    
The award, instituted by the Department of Culture, government of Madhya Pradesh, carries a cash prize of Rs one lakh and a citation, official sources said here on Thursday.
    
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan will hand over the prestigious award to Sinha at a function to be followed by a light music programme which will see noted playback singers Bhupendra and Mitali among others perform.
