President holds farewell tea party

NEW DELHI: President A P J Abdul Kalam on Sunday hosted a farewell tea party for Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, his Cabinet colleagues and Parliamentarians.

The farewell party was attended among others by UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and the Council of Ministers.

The MPs and Ministers were seen shaking hands with the President who demits office on July 25 after an eventful five-year tenure.

Senior CPM leader Sitaram Yechury was also present. The three Chiefs of Services and senior b also attended the function.
