Constable's wife kills daughter, self

MUMBAI: Wife of a police constable allegedly murdered her three-year-old daughter and committed suicide herself in a north-west suburb in the wee hours on Tuesday, police said.

Sangeeta Kale, 23, allegedly killed three-year-old Drushti by hanging her and then committed suicide at her residence in suburban Jogeshwari, they said.

Her husband Sunil Kale is presently deployed with the city police.

The exact reason as to why she took the extreme step is not yet known, they said adding, further investigations are on.
