Pan stall owner arrested for rape

MUMBAI: A pan stall owner was arrested for allegedly raping a 22-year old hawker inside a park in south Mumbai, police said on Monday.

Harish Solanki (28) was arrested for raping the victim inside the Priyadarshini Park of the plush Malabar Hill area on Saturday, they said.

Solanki had taken the victim's two year old daughter inside the park for playing on Saturday morning. The victim went into the park as her daughter did not return for a long time and Solanki pushed her to the ground in an isolated area inside the park and raped her, they added.
