THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Several incoming and outgoing flights to the Gulf sector from here continued to be affected for the third day on Friday as the services hit by Cyclone Gonu in Oman are yet to be normalised.

According to airport sources here, Oman Airways' Muscat-Trivandrum-Muscat flight remained cancelled for the third consecutive day on Friday.

Air India's Sharjah-Trivandrum-Calicut, Calicut-Trivandrum-Abu Dhabhi and Riyadh-Trivandrum-Kochi-Riyadh were delayed inordinately due to the closing of air space over Oman in the wake of the cyclone lashing the Sultanate, the sources said.

Oman Airways had accommodated the passengers booked for its flight in hotels in the city.
