NSA would be in force for next three months in Bharatpur, Dausa, Karauli, Sawai madhopur, Tonk, Bundi, Kota, Baran, Jhalawar, Ajmer and Jaipur, Home Secretary VS Singh said.
The district collectors have been empowered to take immediate action against those indulging in damaging national property including railways, airports, buses, and public property or staging violence, he said.
The outskirts of the national capital bore the brunt of the Gujjar protests with road blocks triggering major traffic snarls, keeping the police personnel on their toes.
Slogan-shouting Gurjjars took to the streets in Badarpur in south Delhi bordering Haryana and Chilla village near Uttar Pradesh, stopping vehicles and burning effigies of Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje in the morning hours.
However, no incidents of violence were reported from anywhere in the national capital, police sources said even as unrest continued in Rajasthan with protestors setting afire a railway station at Sanganer.
With violence spiralling in Rajasthan and protests taking place on the highways leading to the national capital, Delhi Police have deployed additional personnel and set up security pickets as a precautionary measure.
After four days of disruptions due to Gurjars' protests, normal train services were resumed on the Delhi-Mumbai route via Gangapur city and Amritsar-Mumbai Central Golden Temple Mail was the first train to hit the tracks on the route.
Normal bus services to the state were also resumed with the first batch of 1,000 passengers leaving here for Jaipur under tight security.
Rajasthan Roadways, which had suspended its bus services on April 29, resumed operations this afternoon with 20 buses leaving for the state capital.
