Air Bagan launches first international flight

YANGON: Myanmar's Air Bagan has launched its first international service with its Airbus A 310-200 flying to Bangkok.

The commissioning of Air Bagan services to foreign countries will help increase Myanmar's foreign exchange earnings from the tourism industry, said Minister for Transport, Maj-Gen Thein Swe at the launch ceremony at Yangon International Airport.

Chaired by U. Teza, Air Bagan is a Myanmar-citizen-owned private company. It was established on November 4, 2004 and has two Fokker F-100 aircraft and three Airbus A310.
