'CM has love and affection towards LTTE,' says Jaya

CHENNAI: AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa on Thursday said Chief Minister M Karunanidhi has "love and affection" towards the LTTE despite his recent announcement in the assembly that his government would not support the activities of the banned outfit in the state.

She pointed out that the policy note for police tabled recently in the assembly stated that Sri Lankan Tamils were behind the smuggling of arms from Tamil Nadu to Sri Lanka. But not a word was there on the LTTE's involvement, she said.

"This only implies that Karunanidhi is indirectly supporting the LTTE. How are innocent Sri Lankan Tamils be behind the smuggling?. It is a well known fact the LTTE is behind all this. What further proof is needed to know that he is supporting the LTTE?" she asked.
