New credit card features Husain's work

SINGAPORE: A new credit card issued by Dutch bank ABN AMRO is enticing art lovers with its design by MF Husain, regarded as the 'Picasso of India', the bank said on Monday.

The platinum card is available for local Singaporeans and expatriate Indians.

Suhail Chandra, head of consumer clients, said Singapore representatives explained to the artist that they wanted to put "Husain in everyone's pocket and make sure we can get people to wake up to a Husain image every time they use" the card.

Husain's single canvases have set record prices for Indian art.
