LUCKNOW: BJP chief Rajnath Singh on Monday distanced himself from the anti-Muslim CD issue and questioned the rationale of the Election Commission to file an FIR against him in this regard.

"If electoral officer commits any faux pass, will it be right to lodge an FIR against Chief Election Commissioner," Singh said while coming out from the Amausi airport here.

He told reporters that he was wrongly implicated in the case that he had nothing to do with the controversial CD.

Singh, along with Leader of Opposition LK Advani, senior leader Murli Manohar Joshi arrived at the airport here in the morning and left for BJP headquarters from where he will march towards Hazratganj police station to court arrest in the CD row.
