PORT OF SPAIN (TRINIDAD): Leading his side against Bangladesh in the last Group 'B' match of the cricket World Cup, captain Irvine Romaine is quite thrilled that Bermuda suddenly boasts of a supporter base which far outnumbers its population.

Before the match, Rahul Dravid's men have already wished them luck, Romaine said.

India's defeat against Sri Lanka has almost slammed the door on Rahul Dravid's men and the only way they can enter the Super Eight stage is if Bermuda pull off a surprise win against Bangladesh.

Aware that they now have the backing of the team with world's largest fan following, Romaine said, "It's a big day for us, India's banking on us to win this one.

"We met the Indian players in the hotel lobby on Saturday, they wished us good luck", he told reporters.

Despite the odds, Romaine was upbeat before the game against Bangladesh.

"Millions of Indian supporters will be backing us, it's good to have this additional support as we seek our first win in the World Cup. We have suffered two big losses, but we are looking to finish with a victory against Bangladesh."

Bermuda were thrashed by India last week and it was the only win by the Men in Blue, who amassed a record total of 413 for five in a 257-run win, again another record.

Earlier, Dravid too admitted that his side did not deserve to be in the next level but did not rule out any upset in the Bermuda-Bangladesh tie either.

"I don't really think it's on the cards, but then anything can happen in cricket," he said.
