Labourer injured in gelatin blast

MUMBAI: A labourer was injured in an accidental gelatin blast at a construction site on satur, police said.

The labourer was breaking a stone without noticing that a gelatine stick was attached to it. When the worker hit the stone with a hammer, it exploded causing minor injuries to him inside the Food and Drug Administration's compound in suburban Bandra Kurla Complex, they added.

A tennis court is coming up inside the compound.

A Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad was rushed to the spot after the blast.
