KHANDWA (Madhya Pradesh): The chief of a madrassa was booked for allegedly beating up students and holding them captive at Borgaon Bujurg village near here on Thursday, police said.
 
The matter came to light when three students, wearing handcuffs and shackles, escaped from the madrassa and reported the matter to police in Burhanpur on February 13, Superintendent of Police KD Parashar said.
 
The victims, residents of Uttar Pradesh, accused the madrassa incharge of physically torturing them and holding them captive with chains for two years, he said, adding that the children were brought to Moghat police station where a case was registered against the head of the madrassa.
