AHMEDABAD/NEW DELHI: Forensic experts have dismissed as ‘speculative’, the media reports on the alleged confessions of co-accused in the Noida killings Surinder Koli, in which he has reportedly admitted to ‘sexual frustration’ and ‘cannibalism’.

Deputy director of Gandhinagar Forensic Sciences Laboratory (FSL) SL Vaya told DNA: “The media reports are nothing but speculation. We are yet to analyse and interpret the data collected during the narco-analysis tests.”

Koli, one of the co-accused in the killings of nearly 40 children of Nithari village in Noida, had allegedly admitted to raping the dead children and devouring on their meat.

Incidentally, while a lot is being speculated about Koli’s admission, there is not a word on what the other accused Moninder Singh Pandher might have said during his narco tests.

Sources said, the selective media leaks seem deliberate to make Surinder seem to be the prime culprit. “The media reports seem to cast Surinder as a pervert and a murderer, but pretty much remains silent on Moninder’s admissions. So are these media leaks political? Somebody seems to be trying to protect Moninder by strengthening the case against Surinder,” said a source.

The reports had said that Surinder had given a clean chit to his master, and had reportedly said that he was unaware of the killings.

The tests were completed by Tuesday and on Wednesday after all the documentation related to the tests was done, they were flown back to Noida. “We had held them just for paperwork and no tests, not even medical examination was done on the duo on Wednesday,” Vaya said.

Koli had reportedly confessed to being a paedophile and necrophile. He also said he was influenced by Pandher’s lifestyle who invited a number of women friends home. Meanwhile, the remand of Pandher and Surinder, was extended by two days following an application by the police which stated that the doctors need more time to complete the narco tests.

The CBI took over the reins of the case from the UP police on Wednesday.
