Another accused in Anant kidnapping case arrested

NOIDA: Another accused in the kidnapping of Anant Gupta, the son of top software firm executive was arrested on Sunday from Hardoi.

Pawan would be produced before the CJM court and police remand would be sought, police said.

Pawan reportedly told police that he had left the three-year-old boy at Kakore village, sensing a police network was behind him. He said the question regarding how the child reached home in an autorickshaw was not known to him.

Anant, the three-year-old son of Adobe System CEO Naresh Gupta, was kidnapped using a stolen motorcycle by Pawan and another accused Chhatrapal on November 13. The boy reached home safely and the ransom amount of Rs 50 lakh was recovered from Kakore village.

Later, prime accused Chhatrapal alias Dev was arrested in Noida and the motorcycle used in the kidnapping found in the Ghaziabad Railway station parking area.
