NEW DELHI: A Delhi Court on Thursday allowed Neelam Katara to be present during the deposition of Bharti Yadav, a key witness in her son Nitish's murder case.

Additional Sessions Judge Ravinder Kaur dismissed Bharti's application seeking a bar on the presence of victim's mother during her testimony on November 29.

"It would meet ends of justice if Bharti is examined before Neelam," the court said.

Bharti, sister of accused Vikas and Vishal Yadav, had moved application seeking a bar on Neelam Katara's presence during her testimony on the ground that she was also a witness in the case.

Her lawyer had contended that testimony of another witness should not be recorded in Neelam's presence.

One of the accused, Sukhdev Pehlwan, had also sought a similar relief from the court.
