LOS ANGELES: Tiger Woods can handle his sushi but don't expect him to be chowing down at a Dim Sum buffet during his tournament swing through Asia.

Woods says, to be safe, he will hire someone to prepare meals at this week's HSBC Champions Tournament in Shanghai.

"I am pretty picky about what I eat," the 12-time major winner Woods said Monday on his website tigerwoods.com.

"There's a great barbecue restaurant where I stay in Japan, and in China I'll stay in a house with a cook. I can't afford to get sick."

After skipping last week's Tour Championship, the world number one Woods says he is excited about travelling to Asia.

Woods kicks off his Asia visit with the HSBC tournament that starts on Thursday at the Sheshan Golf Club in Shanghai and follows that up with the Dunlop Phoenix Tournament in Miyazaki, Japan.

He will compete at the PGA Grand Slam of Golf on November 21 in Hawaii.

"I am really looking forward to my trip to Asia and Hawaii," Woods said. "It will be three weeks on the road but I have had good success at all three events."
