Haryana top cop's daughter commits suicide

NEW DELHI: The teenaged daughter of a top Haryana police officer has allegedly shot herself dead at her residence in a posh south Delhi locality.

Mrinalini, 18, the daughter of Additional Director General of Police Vijayendra Rai, allegedly committed suicide on Saturday night at her house in Hauz Khas, police said on Sunday.

A second year journalism student at Madhubala College of Communication and Electronic Media, Mrinalini shot herself with a licensed revolver.

She was staying with her mother, while Rai stays in Chandigarh.
