Indian found dead in Bahrain

The body of an Indian worker was found hanging with his legs tied at his workplace in Bahrain.

DUBAI: The body of an Indian worker was found hanging with his legs tied at his workplace in Bahrain.

C Palanichami, 28, from Tamil Nadu, was found dead at around 12.30 pm on Monday by a colleague, the Gulf Daily News reported. His body had injury marks.

Palanichami came to Bahrain four months ago and had been working as a painter and carpenter in a workshop.

His body was taken to the Salmaniya Medical Complex in Manama for post-mortem.

Indian Ambassador to Bahrain Balkrishna Shetty said he was aware of the tragedy but would comment only after the post-mortem report came in.
