A student of Holkar Science College, Indore has allegedly committed suicide after being detained along with two others in a ragging case, police said on Saturday.

INDORE: A student of Holkar Science College, Indore allegedly committed suicide after being detained along with two others in a ragging case, police said on Saturday.
Ashok Choudhry of Mandsaur town took the step on September 21 by jumping before a train. His body was identified by his brother on Friday, said the police.
Ashok, a BSc final year student, had claimed that he was not involved in the ragging incident and that his name was being dragged into it.
The three students were later released, reportedly on the intervention of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad leaders.
Ashok later committed suicide and his body was recovered from Manikbagh railway line, police said.
As news of the suicide spread, students of the college reached the hospital where the body was kept and protested against the "high-handedness" of the principal and the police.
