NEW DELHI: A Delhi court on Monday extended police custody of Bina Ramani, a key witness in the Jessica Lall murder case and accused in a cheating and forgery case, by two days. The court accepted the prosecution plea that she was not cooperating in the investigation.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate extended her police remand till September 13 as against the four days' extension demanded by the prosecution.

The prosecution claimed before the court that the investigation was getting affected because a number of Ramani's friends and relatives kept visiting her during the custody period.

She also refused to sign her disclosure statement, the prosecution stated.

On September four, the court had issued a non-bailable warrant against her, executable on or before September 15 on the prosecution allegation that she has not been joining the investigations and has been evading meeting with the investigating officer despite efforts to contact her.

Ramani was arrested by Delhi Police in Goa on September six.
