Rediffusion’s Sangram Rakshit moves to David

Will be client services director

MUMBAI: Sangram Rakshit, client services director, Rediffusion DY&R, has joined David. Rakshit will be working on accounts such as Craft Food (Tang), Mumbai Mirror, Dukes biscuits and chocolates, Arvind Brand (Excalibur and Flying Machine), Essar Steel, Yatra.com, Off The Shelf, Radio One, Nitco tiles, HPCL Power and Adlabs.

Josy Paul, chairman, David, and regional creative director, David Asia Pacific, said: “After Kumar Subramaniam, president, David, Rakshit is the senior most person in client servicing. We have been very strong in creative. In the process what we have been missing out is relationship management with our clients that goes beyond just the creative. Therefore Rakshit’s role is to go from just managing the business to delighting our clients with better engagement and better relationships.”

He added: “We took a long time, approximately six months before we could bring in the right person for this position. We felt that he combined the hunger at a senior level that all of us have. While we were interviewing him we discovered that from the age of six he has been living in boarding schools. It means he is used to being himself, highly individualistic and has always believed in a certain kind of freedom. He also plays guitar and sometimes hums a few verses. He fitted the bill perfectly.”
