Two long distance trains have suffered delays following separate bomb scares, railway and police sources said on Monday.

CHENNAI: Two long distance trains have suffered delays ranging between two to three-and-a-half hours following separate bomb scares, railway and police sources said on Monday.
Two anonymous calls last night claimed that some explosive devices have been placed aboard the Chennai-Bangalore Shatabdi express and Chennai-Jaipur express, following both trains were halted at Thirunavalur and Elavur, around 90-Kms and 70-Kms respectively from here.
Police teams, including bomb disposal squad, rushed to both the trains but nothing was found, they said.
Due to the searches, Shatabdi suffered a delay of two hours, while the Jaipur-bound train three-and-a-half hours, the sources added.
