13 injured in J&K grenade attack

POONCH: At least 13 persons were wounded, two of them critically, when militants hurled grenades from a roof-top in the bus stand area in Surankot town of Poonch district on Wednesday evening, police said.

 

The grenades exploded in two parts of the bus stand resulting injury to the 13 persons, most of them passengers, they said.

 

Of the injured, the condition of two persons was stated to be serious. Security forces and police have cordoned of the bus stand area and launched an operation to track down the militants responsible for the attack.

 

No militant outfit has claimed responsibility of the attack.
