Indonesian tsunami death toll rises to 525

PANGANDARAN: At least 525 people were killed by the tsunami that smashed into the southern coast of Indonesia's Java island this week, the government said on Wednesday.   

At least 382 people were injured and 273 remained missing, according to figures compiled by the National Disaster Management Coordinating Agency.   

About 38,000 people have been displaced by the tsunami that lashed the island on Monday, it said.
