Centre in touch with J&K following grenade attacks

Centre is in constant touch with the Jammu and Kashmir Government following the grenade attack on a tourist vehicle in Srinagar and has offered assistance to the state for transporting bodies of the victims to Kolkata.

NEW DELHI: Centre is in constant touch with the Jammu and Kashmir Government following the grenade attack on a tourist vehicle in Srinagar and has offered assistance to the state for transporting bodies of the victims to Kolkata.

The Union Home Ministry was "constantly in touch" with the state Government after the blast at Dalgate around 11.50 a.m.. While five persons died on the spot 12 others were injured.

Since most of the victims were tourists from West Bengal, the Ministry has offered all assistance to the state Government to send the bodies to Kolkata.
